Speckle Rhino Plugin Release

We are happy to share that the Speckle Rhino Plugin has now passed some quality checks and is ready for testing! You can now send data through Speckle directly from Rhino, to any other Rhino file or Grasshopper definition.

Continuing the discussion from Speckle Rhino Plugin Release:

Hello,

I am trying to start using the Rhino plugin, but I can’t register a new account. I tried using the test server url, because I am using Windows 10 Home edition (which apparently does not support Docker CE) and can’t figure out how to setup my own server. When I click ‘register’ first it returns an error saying “Cannot read property ‘apitoken’ of undefined”, then if I click it again it tells me “Email taken. Please login. Thanks!” What is going on?

Hey @webthethird! I know what’s going on: bad docs. Forget about s003 if you downloaded the plugins recently. This happened in the meantime which means that s003 is no longer compatible with the new api which has been implemented in all the existing plugins.

Use https://hestia.speckle.works/api/v1 as a test server, it’s deployed with the 1.0.0-beta api which is not going to change any time soon.

Let me know if this works out!

Dimitrie,

Thank you for the quick response, as well as the very insightful blog link. I was able to successfully register a new account! I will let you know if I run into any further issues.

Best,
Bill
